What if you could have a beautiful beach in Florida without the wild parties? There are plenty of things to do on Fort Lauderdale Beach. It is less chaotic and calmer than Miami Beach, while still offering white, sugary sands and clear, blue water.
The waterline is still a popular place to have parties, but more families than college students are likely to stroll along.
The palm-lined promenade behind the shoreline is busy with visitors searching for restaurants and boutiques. In addition to renting beach chairs, there is also water sports equipment available near the shore.
It was noted by recent visitors that even in the midst of a large crowd, Fort Lauderdale Beach didn’t feel crowded.
The beach is also praised for its cleanliness and the calm waters, which make it a great place to bring kids.
It costs $1.75 per hour to park on the beach, but you do not need to pay to enter.
There are also stops along North Fort Lauderdale Beach Boulevard along the Las Olas Link and Beach Link routes of Sun Trolley. A few other attractions, such as Bonnet House Museum & Gardens and Hugh Taylor Birch State Park, are within walking distance.
Guests can visit the beach at any time of the day. Find out more by visiting the City of Fort Lauderdale’s website.
