If you travel north from Fort Lauderdale Beach Park or east on Las Olas Boulevard, you’ll find the small Las Olas Beach.
Visitors can rent beach chairs and water sports equipment as well as use the restrooms and park at the beach park, although the amenities are not as numerous as those offered at Fort Lauderdale Beach Park. The street is also lined with restaurants, bars, and shops.
Several reviewers criticized the area’s rowdiness at night and its clean, clear water. However, sometimes college students come to the beach for spring break and it can get crowded.
Alcohol and loud music are off-limits, however, and police officers are always present. You may tire of swimming or sunbathing, so take a stroll along Fort Lauderdale Beach’s paved esplanade instead.
It can be reached by car or bus No. 11 and 40 all day long and welcomes visitors 24 hours a day.
There are two other ways of getting to the Atlantic Ocean. You can take the Sun Trolley’s Las Olas Link or Beach Link trolley, or you can walk from nearby hotels, such as The Ritz-Carlton, Fort Lauderdale.
