With 22 blocks of entertainment and arts, the Riverwalk Arts and Entertainment District is one of the top attractions in Fort Lauderdale.
Fort Lauderdale offers the Fort Lauderdale Historical Society, the Bonnet House Museum and Gardens, the Nova Southeastern University Art Museum, the Broward Center for the Performing Arts, the Florida Grand Opera, as well as restaurants, green spaces, movie theaters and shops.
A stroll along the New River or a seat on the river bank with a cup of coffee is a pleasant way to spend some time. There are various shops, restaurants, and nightlife venues along Las Olas Boulevard.
Many travelers have commented on how relaxing it is to walk along the paved section of the river.
Furthermore, several recommend taking advantage of Riverwalk’s free Water Trolley, which has eight stops along both the north and south banks of the river.
Every morning at 10 a.m., there is a water trolley. From 10 p.m. to midnight. This service is available 24 hours a day and can be requested by calling 954-TROLLEY. Additionally, riders can use the Sun Trolley Tracker app to track the water trolley’s location, or simply wait 20 to 30 minutes at the nearest stop.
Check out the official website of the Riverwalk Arts and Entertainment District for a full list of all upcoming events.
A variety of daily events are held at the area’s various historical homes (such as guided tours) and annual events are held, such as wine and food tours. Various public garages are nearby where you can park.
