Sawgrass Mills mall is a shopping destination like no other in Sunrise in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, about 14 miles west of downtown Fort Lauderdale. This outlet mall, sometimes called “Sawgrass,” is the nation’s largest.
Throughout the complex, you’ll discover a variety of retail experiences, from budget-friendly favorites such as Super Target, Marshalls, J.Crew Factory and Nike Factory Store to luxury brands including Tory Burch, Prada, Jimmy Choo, and Kate Spade.
Aside from the IMAX theater, Sawgrass has two Starbucks coffee shops, a post office, two food courts, and several restaurants, including the Cheesecake Factory, California Pizza Kitchen, Rainforest Cafe (perfect for families), and Zinburger wine and burger bar. Plan on staying here for at least one full day if you wish to explore the entire mall.
Vacationers regularly wheel empty suitcases around Sawgrass Mills in order to fill them up with their purchases as they shop.
Although there is no official Sawgrass Mills shuttle to and from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, third-party shuttles and town cars are available. To and from the airport (and to and from all areas of South Florida) you are best off renting your own car.
There is even a currency exchange station at the mall for international travelers.
You may have to search for parking in the free lot during busy weekends and around the holidays; especially on weekends and during the holidays, the mall can become extremely crowded.
It is best to arrive at the mall at opening time or visit during the week to avoid these issues. Alternatively, you can choose to park in an area outside of the Oasis and Colonnade sections or in front of the new Seasons 52 restaurant (valet parking is between $10 and $25). As of 10 a.m., Sawgrass is open. We will be here until 9:30 p.m. Throughout the week, 11 a.m. 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. As of Sunday. Hours vary on holidays.
